Just absolutely stellar hiking weather today. Cool/cold but sunny.

Often this section is foggy, but I really lucked out. The views are spectacular.

May 25 – Herrerias de Valcarce to O’Cebreiro (8.2 km)

I wondered why my tour company broke up the trip this way – having only 8.2 km on this day when some others are so long.

Then I saw the elevation chart. 😱

In 8.2km, I’ll be climbing nearly 600m.

The guide book says it will be rocky and when wet (which it no doubt will be after yesterday’s rain), slippery.

So…yeah. It’s not going to be a rest day for sure.
