May 11 – Castrojeriz to Fromista (24.9 km)

It’s going to be a long hot one today!

Hiked up to the ruins of Castrojeriz Castle. Totally worth it despite having blown up my legs a bit (again).

Inside joke for my Glacier-to-Yellowstone peeps: the whole time I was climbing the narrow, steep, hot single-track up I was thinking “seven switchbacks…..”

Parts of the castle are tough for a claustrophobe! But it’s very cool.
